Get Pregnant With Irregular Periods

An irregular menstrual cycle in most times, is a sign of irregular ovulation. A woman may not ovulate every month, or she may ovulate at different periods from month to month. The main concern when it comes to irregular periods is that there might be absent or irregular ovulation. And if you’re not ovulating, you won’t get pregnant. Issues with ovulation are responsible for about 30% of all cases of infertility.

If it turns out that your menstrual irregularities signal an ovulation problem, now’s the time to have it checked out and treated so you can increase your chances of conceiving. .
Thankfully, some lifestyle changes can help improve the balance of hormones and help to make your periods less irregular: The most important thing, is to have regular unprotected sex with your partner. Try to have intercourse at least every two to four days.

• Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet
Stay away from fast food joints and unhealthy meals. Try to include more whole grains, fruits, and vegetables into your diet and avoid foods with a lot of carbohydrates and fat.

• Maintain an ideal body weight
If you are overweight, shedding some pounds through healthy eating and moderate exercise can be extremely beneficial, especially if you have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Also, if you are underweight, you should add on a few pounds. Low body fat can be connected with low estrogen levels, which would cause period irregularity.

• Exercise moderately and regularly
Getting regular moderate exercise is essential to aid fertility. On the other hand, too much strenuous exercise may increase stress which reduces fertility. The next equally critical step will be to know your fertile window for each period. Remember that for you to get pregnant, sperm must be waiting in the fallopian tube when the egg is released from the ovary. Sperm can only survive for up to 3 days in the female reproductive tract, so it is vital for you to predict when you will ovulate so that you can time intercourse properly.
